Hyderabad: Lot of competitions are held
from time to time. But, this one was a different
type. The competition for car audio systems. The
Car Audio Event of lifetime was held in city for
the first time on 8th September at Wesley Grounds,
Opposite Anand Theatre, Secunderabad. For those
twin citians who enjoy music in cars and
everything related to it, were there at Blaupunkt
Sound FX 2003 to witness the unique competition .
The fun filled extravaganza was organized by
Blaupunkt-the leaders in care audio systems. More
than 100 car owners showcasing their best of audio
gizmos, playing their stereos participated in the
novel and friendly competition. A panel of experts
from Blaupunkt performed a complete sound check of
the car audio system and graded them on
international parameters such as Acoustics,
Aesthetics, Design, Sound Pressure Level etc.
Blaupunkt emphasized that good acoustics rather
than high volume is the most important criterion
of the entire package. Prizes of Rs 20,000 worth
of Blaupunkt products were announced to the
winners. Prizes were also given to the Best 100%
Blaupunkt Cars.
Only owner driver cars(no taxi cars) were allowed
to participate in the contest. Blaupunkt team has
gone around in twin cities for the past couple of
days creating awareness, promote the event to
encourage more and more cars to participate in the
contest.
Many music enthusiasts who visited along with
their families the contest arena got an
opportunity to witness Blaupunkt’s ‘quality of
sound’ in the two demo cars. The two demo cars
were parked at the contest arena, equipped with
the state-of-the-art audio products including
Metal Subwoofers, DVD Players, CD Screens, TV
Monitor, Amplifiers and range of speakers. A wide
range of products were displayed in products
gallery. These include Casette Players in the
price range of Rs 6990/- to Rs 27500/-, CD Players
from Rs 11000/- to 34,500/-, CD Changers (Rs
14,900/-) and In-dash CD Changers(Rs 16,750)/-
The eight city contest was kicked off recently
from Mumbai and covered so far Ahmedabad,
Calcutta, Delhi. Soon it will be held at
Bangalore, Chennai and Ernakulam. The contest held
in city was the first in South India.
Sound FX 2003 was yet another step towards
Blaupunkt’s mission of converting the car into a
mobile communication centre. The event was first
of its kind in India built on the lines of
international sound off shows.
The next venue for Sound FX 2003 would be
Bangalore and to be carried forward to two more
cities in South India viz. Chennai and Ernakulam.
Balupunkt, a German company came up first with a
concept of entertainment in car in the year 1932.
It is the Original Equipment supplier to many
brands, including General Motors India, Tata
Engineering, Skoda and Mercedes-Benz.
