33 IPS probationers pass out of National Police Academy


After the completion of 10 months of training, the 52nd batch of 33 officers trainees of the Indian Police Service (IPS),including three lady officers and three of the Palestinian Security Force, passed out from the Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy here on 31st Ocober.The Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy of Hyderabad is where the IPS officers undergo training after being selected for the Indian Civil Services.

The Officer trainees participated in a impressive passing out parade where they were divided into two platoons one headed by Vipul Kumar and the other by Dr.Sanjeev Gupta. Gyaneshwar Singh was the parade commander. After the parade, DG BSF K.F.Rustamji who was the chief guest gave away the trophies and medals to the best performing officer trainees.

The prestigious Prime Minister's Baston and Home Minister's Revolver for the Best All-round Trainees IPS Offices was given to Gyaneshwar Singh of the Himachal Pradesh cadre. The IPS Association's Sword of Honour for the Outdoor and Shri Bhubananda Misra Memorial Trophy for the Second Best all-rounder Trainee IPS Officer trophy were received by Vipul Kumar of Karnataka cadre.

The President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service (Republic Day-2000) was given to Subhash Joshi, IPS and Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service of Independence Day-2000 to head constable V.S.Khairnar of Republic Day-2000 to head constable Talsa Ram.
