CM calls to focus on Farm Sector in 14th Janmabhoomi Programme

The Chief Minister today exhorted the supervisory officers of the 14th round of Janmabhoomi to inspire, motivate and create awareness among the people about the unique programme. He told them that they should also work as sociologists, psychologists, reformers and social engineers.
The Chief Minister said hitherto there was only one supervisory officer for every district but this time one supervisory officer is being sent to every revenue division, He said hereafter there would be only three rounds of Janmabhoomi every year dedicated to farmers. women and weaker Sections. He asked the officers to educate the farmers about the need for crop rotation, doubling of agricultural production and cost-efficient cultivation using the latest technologies.
Mr Naidu also mentioned the example of China where the agricultural production has been doubled. He also explained schemes like Rythu Mitra, Kisan Credit Card, Crop Rotation, Green Manure etc. The Chief Minister asked the officers to complete the issue of pending Pattadar Pass Books. He wanted the officers to ensure that the best and successful farmers explain their experiences to others. Mr. Naidu also explained about convergence, clarity and solution at village levels. He told them that the change is a must and we have to bring it fast.
The Chief Minister wanted the supervisory officers to go to the fields and work in right earnest in the spirit of Janmabhoomi and wanted them to give him feedback about their experiences in the villages. Detailed draft guidelines on the 14th round of Janmabhoomi which begins on January 2nd were given to the supervisory officers on Gramsabha, agenda for Gramsabha, review of functioning of government institutions, review of functioning of SHGs, review of receipt and expenditure of Gram Panchayats, selection of beneficiaries, sanction of new works, evaluation of Gram Panchayats/ward, financial incentives for Gram Panchayats/wards, free health and veterinary camps, cheyutha camps and human chain.
Minister for Panchayat Raj, P. Srinivas Reddy, Minister for Health, S. Aruna, Minister for School Education, K. Srihari, Minister for Cooperation, Ch. Ramachandra Rao, Secretary, Planning, A.K. Parida and other officials attended the meeting.
