City to get new Streetlights

The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad is all out to modernise street lightning in the twin cities as a part of the beautification drive. The Corporation has selected 54 main roads which are 60 feet and more wide for installing modern lights. All the existing tube lights will also be replaced with 70 watt sodium vapor lamps. The existing central as well as side lighted will also be improved further. An official team visited Mumbai recently and recommended the type of lightening that illuminates the Marine Drive. Already the Necklace Road has been fitted with modern street lights which have infact given a grand facelift to the entire road.
