The Musheerabad Central Jail premises is soon going to be
transformed
into a world class AC shopping centre within couple of months.
The state cabinet which has just
cleared the proposal for construction of the shopping mall.A
special Area Development Authority would call for tenders and work
out modalities for developing the jail into a shopping mall.
The Housing and Urban Development
Corporation has agreed to lend Rs 100 Crore loan for the
construction of the shopping mall.
The Musheerabad Jail
is expected to be vacated in couple of months. Convicts lodged in
the jail are to be shifted to Moulali. Thereafter the government
will take possession of the premises which is under the control of
the jail department.
If these proposals of the state
government are going to take shape in the coming months then this
30-acre land will be feather in the cap of Hyderabad and the
proposed shopping center will surely transform
Hyderabad into a major shopping destination.
