Nivedita of St.Francis college has won the 'Miss Hyderabad' title at a pageant organised at Hotel Golconda.Diana was adjusted the first runner-up and Shameem the second. The latter also won the 'Miss Beautiful Cat Walk' title,Sapna was 'Miss Talent'.

Following the preliminary elimination round,12 contestants were selected for the final screening. Nivedita was of the opinion that AP CM should change his priorities  to drinking water, power supply, better sanitation and basic issues of the common man.

The panel of judges included film stars, music directors and from other walks of life.The Chief guest was the leading actress of yesteryears and Rajya Sabha MP,Jamuna.

The Miss Hyderabad 2000 show was organised by Golden Era group which  has to its record the introduction of 'Mr.Andhra' crown.
