Hyderabad: In a dramatic shooting, Telugu film star, Nandamuri Balakrishna, allegedly fired from a revolver at producer Bellamkonda Suresh and his associate Satyanarayana Choudhary at his residence on 3rd June.Both the victims were admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills. The incident created a sensation at night, with Balakrishna's supporters converging at the Care hospital where he was admitted.They picked up arguments with members of the media in the hospital.

Balakrishna might have been a little ambitious jumping 50 feet down recently for the film 'Nartansala'. Balakrishna fractured his ankle while jumping. He has been advised bed rest for three months and strictly warned against dancing and fighting for another six months.

Biography
Nandamuri Balakrishna, the heir to Legendary actor NTR, needs no introduction to the Telugu audience. Balakrishna, dearly called by his fans as Balayya, stayed away from publicity and never really cared for the media. Though he entered the field because of his father, it's his hardwork and dedication that got him a top slot in the industry.
 

Balakrishna entered film industry at a very young of 14. Tatammakala starring NTR and Bhanumathi is his first film. He acted in many films with his father, legendary actor NTR. He acted as NTR's brother in Annadammula Anubandham and Rowdy Ramudu Konte Krishnudu. He also played son to his real life brother Hari Krishna in the movie Dana Veera Soora karna, directed and produced by NTR.

It was in 1984, he did his first movie as solo hero. Mangamma gari manavadu, Kathanayakudu to start with. From there on he went to become the hero of the masses. Sitarama Kalyanam, Desodharakudu, Apoorva Sahodarulu, Ramudu Bhimudu, Rakthabhishekam, Muddula Mavayya and many more steered his career successfully into the 90's. Undeniably, Balakrishna is the best suitable hero to do films with village backdrop. Village costumes, in full white, fits no one as good as it does for Balayya. Following NTR, it's only Balakrishna who could do justice to the mythological films. Bhairawa Dweepam and Sri Krishnarjuna yudham - both directed by Singitham Srinivasarao fall in the same category. Only science fiction film in Telugu - Aditya 369 - is done by none other than Balayya. Balakrishna has acted in 80 films till date.Out of the 80 films he did, 31 films have run for more than 100 days. That is almost 40% of his films were superhits and 6 films have completed golden jubilee runs and 4 out of them were produced by Bhargav Arts producer S.Gopal Reddy. Balakrishna has set a new state record with SAMARASIMHA REDDY by completing 50 days in 92 theatres. He created all India record with the same film by completing 175 days in 30 theatres. Balakrishna has broke his own records and set a new all India record in 80 years of southindian film history with NARASIMHANAIDU running for 50 days in 124 theatres and 100 days in 105 theatres. Balakrishna has a bachelor degree in Arts from Nizam College,Hyderabad. Balakrishna married Vasundhara Devi in 1982.
