Raj Sharma has over 17 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance and asset management. He holds a Master's degree in Business Management, specializing in finance, and a Master's degree in Communications and Statistical Research. Raj has also attended advanced investment programs at the Wharton School of Business and the INSEAD in France. He is also a Certified Investment Management Analyzer (CIMA) a certification awarded by the Institute of Investment Management Consultants.

Raj is a member of Merrill Lynch's highest recognition club, Circle of Champions. In addition, Raj is on the National Speakers Bureau at Merrill Lynch, and is a former member of ACTM, the Advisory Council to Management. As one of the top producers at Merrill Lynch, Raj has been featured in numerous publications. Most recently, Raj was included as one of the top 30 financial advisors in the country in "The Winner's Circle", a book by R.J. Shook. Raj was named as one of America’s Top Brokers in the 2002 and 2003 issues of “Registered Rep.” As one of the official media representatives for Merrill Lynch, Raj is a regular guest on Business Radio 1060, NECN and other media outlets.

Sharma has been with Merrill Lynch for 17 years, serving individual investors, corporations and foundations with comprehensive financial planning advice, estate, philanthropic and legacy planning consultation, retirement, education planning and asset management services.

As founder of the Sharma Group within Merrill Lynch, he runs a team providing private wealth management and strategic financial planning services for high net worth individuals and families, as well as business financial services for emerging growth companies. Business financial services encompass areas such as cash management, business valuation, stock option financing, retirement plan administration, mergers and acquisitions and investment banking

He and his wife reside in the Boston area with their four children.
