Ayyappa Nagubandi
Chief Software Architect of the World's 1st voice e-mail from India
Hyderabad,December'05: Very shortly the world's first voice mail
service, indigenously developed by Hyderabad-based NowPos Online
Services is going to hit the market and the man behind it is Ayyappa
Nagubandi who is the Chief Software Architect and Founding Chairman of
TrulyIntellient.
NowPos Online Services Pvt. Ltd. (‘NowPos’, short for Now Possible) (www.nowpos.com),
is the first successfully incubated ‘Idea Vertical’ of TrulyIntelligent
Technologies Pvt. Ltd (“TI”). NowPos, a fully-owned subsidiary of TI, is

Ayyappa Nagubandi began his career as a software engineer and web

years. A graduate in Computer Sciences, Ayyappa, is a keen researcher,
with a die-hard focus toward the field of Artificial Intelligence and
product development in newer areas of technology.
Responsible for all the breakthroughs in Voice Conversion, Text
Analysis, Electronic Linguistic Processing, Web User Experience
Management, among others, he leads the Software Development, Product
Development, and R&D teams at the company.
He aspires to be among the leading global innovators in AI, and have
multiple-patents in software before the end of the decade. He won his
first patent in the US for AMY, an AI-based bot with interactive
capabilities, equipped with the power to simulate near human-level
conversations.
He has worked in the USA, Europe, Singapore and India, during his
career, and has worked with several Global Corporations and
Organizations including General Electric, World Bank, etc. He writes an
exclusive technology column in The Hindu, which has the distinction of
being one of the country’s longest running column in technology.
Constantly examining new routes for software technology development, he
has undertaken the mission to transform the e-mail experience, working
presently on the next generation email systems for both web and client
server environments.
An innovator who looks at both futuristic technology with commercial
relevance, he perceives that AI innovations could be the key to the
future of the software industry, with phenomenal potential in being
integrated with other appliances, ranging from the mobile phone, ATM,
and eventually, to everyday household applications.
