Dr. Vidya sagar Kora
An alumni of Gandhi Medical College is now the Coroner of La Porte County, Indiana State, USA



Dr.Vidya Sagar Kora, an alumni of Gandhi Medical College, Basheerbagh was elected Coroner of La Porte County in the Indiana State, USA. Contesting on Democratic ticket, Dr.Kora defeated his Republican opponent Jeffrey Rose by over 2000 votes.

He is presently the Vice Speaker of the house of delegates at the Indiana State Medical Association.He is not only on the board of St.Antony Memorial Hospital in Michigan Citybut also is on the board of trustees of teh unity Foundation .Recently has also been appointed by Governor Frank o 'Bannon to the children's Trust Fund Board of Indiana to fight child abuse and neglect in the state.

Dr.Vidya SagarKora is the first Indian-American to be elected to a county wide office in the mid-west, perhaps even the first elected official in the US.
