Supercomputer To be Installed in Secretariat

The Government Of Andhra Pradesh is all set to acquire Param Supercomputer for storage of huge amount of data pertaining to the state for providing instantaneous services till the village level. This is for the first time that any state government is on a mission to acquire a supercomputer.It will contain data pertaining to every households and even individuals along with their socio-economic particulars like their land records,health records, and other details.

It is being purchased at a cost of 4.8 crore and is to be installed in the K-block of the state Secretariatby June end.The supercomputer will be installed operated and maintained jointly by the Centre for development of Advanced Computing ,Pune and the APTS.
